PERSPECTIVE MATTERS. HERE IS OURS ON GIVING.

1. Giving is about something for you, not something FROM you. 

 

Matthew 6:24 tells us that we can't serve God and money. God isn't trying to get our money, he is trying to set us free from our money, so that we do not serve it. It is a heart issue, and God wants our hearts to belong to Him. 

 

2. God wants to bless our faithfulness in being generous. 

 

Malachi 3:10 says that when we bring our tithe into the local church, He will pour out a blessing that will overflow what we can contain. He even encourages us to to test Him in that and see if it happens. 

 

3. We are most like Jesus when we are giving. 

 

John 3:16 shows us the giving heart of Jesus when He gave His life for those who were killing Him. We want to be generous people with our time, talent, resources, and influence, because we want to be like Jesus. We are growing in that way, and want the same for you.
